At the end of the 19th century, Le Bon Marché was a pioneer in the urbanization of retail in Paris. Founded in 1838 by Aristide Boucicaut, the store paved the way for a new era of consumption, where a multitude of products could be found under one roof, in a luxurious and refined space.
